Why are you the best candidate for this position? (750 characters)

I am a community advocate that believes in giving back to the community. At this time, I know I can impact my city, for the better, by being a member of the city council. My goal is to hold the line on debt and taxes while making sure the residents receive open, honest, and available representation.

If elected, what will your top three priorities be and why? (500 characters)

1. Reasonable and stable property tax 2. Ensuring residents receive good value for their tax dollars 3. Maintain public safety and our public infrastructure Our taxes have grown year over year. My own experience is that they grew 45% since 2005 and 7% in the last year. It's time to hold the line on debt and taxes and ensure the residents are receiving the best value for their tax dollar. Making sure residents feel safe and are safe helps a community thrive.

How will you work with your community to promote public safety in our neighborhoods? (500 characters)

We in Shakopee are blessed with wonderful law enforcement. They are active in the community, visible, and exemplify what it means to protect and serve. One of my priorities is to ensure that standing up for our first responders continues to be a city priority and that they are always provided with the resources and support they need to do their jobs.
